Winter Dreams And The Garden Party - 1225 Words
Winter Dreams and The Garden Party I have chosen two short stories the first one being F. Scott Fitzgeraldââ¬â¢s Winter Dreams and the second one being Katherine Mansfieldââ¬â¢s The Garden Party. ââ¬Å"Winter Dreamsâ⬠was written in and published in 1922, and so was ââ¬Å"The Garden Partyâ⬠. ââ¬Å"Winter Dreamsâ⬠takes place during the winter months and we find the main character Dexter Green skiing on the golf course that he is a caddie for during the golf season. However, her self-cen tered family members refuse to, saying there is no need to cancel their party. Her sister goes on to even say when referring to the man who died, ââ¬Å"You wonââ¬â¢t bring a drunk workman back to life by being sentimental.â⬠(Mansfield, 123) That just
